As the title suggests, we have finally a new pavilion. I recently went down to Castley, and snapped a few pics of the almost finished product. I must say that it is a big improvement ( as most of you know) from what we have been using in the past.
I can’t remember how long its been.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to utilise the ground this year as it will not be completed in time for the 2011 season. However, we will be holding some functions at Castley through the year. Details of which will be posted on the website after we finalise them. Since the date I had taken the photos, there has been further progress. We were required to empty the store room, as the builders were waiting for the power to be cut. After which they would demolish the old Clubrooms along with the public toilets/storeroom. This is to pave the way for the new car park and access road. Our ground development is moving forward, the irrigation piping has been completed since taking the shots, and the ground is being levelled ready for seeding.

I don’t have to tell you how excited I am at the prospect of having a modern facility. Think about watching the kids training, whilst enjoying a Cuppa chino from the clubrooms. All committee members should be acknowledged for their hard work in achieving the pavilion upgrade, but there are 2 members that deserve most of the recognition.
